Under the able guidance of our Director, Dr. Rajesh Hassija, an Orientation Programme was organized for the parents of new admission at Indraprastha GLOBAL SCHOOL, Noida. The aim was to familiarize the parents, “as partners in progress” with the curriculum, rules and regulations of the school, teaching methodologies and the co-scholastic activities. The programme commenced with a warm welcome to the parents followed by the ceremonial lighting of the lamp. On this special day our honorable chief guest Ms. Aruna Broota gave some important points on parenting in today's times. In her speech, she laid stress on effective communication between the teachers & the parents and also sought their support and suggestions so that the children could be provided the best for their overall development. She also gave guidelines about effective parenting. She also suggested different measures to nurture a child with love and care to build a strong foundation for a glorious future. The orientation programme proved to be a sincere effort made by the school in educating the parents to look after and guide their children in a proper manner. It also helped in evolving a common teaching strategy and helped the parents in identifying suitable follow up methods to reinforce the learning process of their children.
“A journey of thousand miles begins with a single step”. To make starting school an exciting, successful and happy experience, Indraprastha GLOBAL SCHOOL organised its acclimatization day for the new session 2018-19 on 25th March, 2018. The day helped the new students to familiarize with the new environment before commencing their new journey at IPGS. The whole school was decorated and an array of different activities like toy train, bouncy, tattoo making, balloon art, meeting different cartoon characters catered to the fun element during their stay. Based on the multiple intelligences, students were involved in the various games like hook the fish, ring the target, place the funny apples, roll the dice and were given prizes which added to their excitement. All relished having popcorns and candy as a treat but the highlight of the day was the magic show and dance where both students and parents participated. The parents later had the opportunity of interacting with the respective class teachers who shared specific information about classroom schedules and special activities. This programme created a special bond among the triangulation network of teachers, students and parents as well as led to the deeper understanding of parents about the school functioning.
Indraprastha GLOBAL SCHOOL celebrated its Founder’s Day amidst lot of fun and pride to renew the vision of our chairperson ma’am Mrs. A. S. Rana i.e. to give quality education to the younger generation. This special day is celebrated with excitement and exhilaration. The programme began with the morning assembly conducted by class X with lot of enthusiasm which was followed by an extravaganza of activities conducted class wise to contribute towards the all-round development of the young IPGites which included bouquet making, cardmaking, 3 D cake making, Wall hanging, candle decoration, creative writing and many more.
Scholar’s Badge Ceremony
Originality is the essence of true scholarship; creativity is the soul of true scholar. To celebrate and appreciate the achievements of the students, Indraprastha GLOBAL SCHOOL organized the Scholar Badge Ceremony to felicitate the meritorious students for their passion and zeal for learning. They were applauded in presence of their parents, for their relentless strive to excel and for their diligence to improve their performance at every step. The programme commenced with a musical medley by the choir group followed by a beautiful dance by the students which left the audience mesmerized. The Managing Director, Dr. Rajesh Hassija congratulated the students for their unwavering endeavors and achievements.
Investiture Ceremony was celebrated in Indraprastha GLOBAL SCHOOL with great solemnity and enthusiasm. The ceremony marked a significant beginning of the new academic year. To inculcate the leadership qualities in students and make them responsible human beings, a new ‘Prefectorial Body’ was formed. The council members took oath with the promise that they would carry out their duties with honesty, integrity, faith and without being biased.

Indraprastha GLOBAL SCHOOL conducted summer camp for 10 days with great zeal and enthusiasm to ensure that the much awaited summer breaks is a time to relax and rejuvenate. The school witnessed an overwhelming participation by the children to avail the opportunities offered by the institution to explore the talents of the kids and hone them. The children were divided into four groups – Sparks ( 3 to 4yrs), Buds ( 5-6yrs),Blossoms ( 7-10yrs) and Teens( 11 yrs onwards).They were offered training in Communication skills, Art & Craft, Music, Dance , Skating, Karate, Swimming, Technocrat, Little Chef and many other physical activities. Special trainers and expert faculty members held sessions everyday to develop the inner talents of our children. The children were exposed to invigorating learning sessions with ‘hands- on- experience’ in all hobbies they wish to pursue. The camp concluded with a Grand Finale, the students showcasing what they had learned during these eight days of thorough training with fun and excitement.
International Yoga Day
Yoga is a mental, physical and spiritual practice that needs to be practiced every day to bring peace, harmony, happiness and success to every soul in the world. To train students and teachers to achieve these cardinal human values, the students and teachers of Indraprastha GLOBAL SCHOOL celebrated the International Yoga Day at the school campus on 21st June, 2018. The students performed yoga displaying different Asanas that are beneficial to our body and soul. This was a great opportunity to imbibe the value of discipline among the students. The programme ended with a meditation session.
It was a sweet juicy morning for the tiny tots of IPGS, when the Pre School and Pre Primary entered the school in order to celebrate the Mango Festival. Children were shown different varieties of Mangoes and dishes made from Mango. They danced on Mango songs and played many games and quiz related to the same. They had an amazing time celebrating the Mango Festival.
Indraprastha GLOBAL SCHOOL celebrated its annual exhibition ‘Reflection2018’ based on the theme ‘ECO FEST’. The exhibition was the display of the holiday assignments given to the students during ‘Summer Vacation’. It was transformed into an exhibition of talents, knowledge and innovation. The display was the reflection of the students’ curiosity and imagination to quench the thirst of intellect en route for development in all fields as a major instrument to achieve self-reliance, socio- economic and socio -ecological development.
Each class of the school presented various models and ideas that would change the world and our way of living and make this world a better place to live in. The inaugural ceremony was an awe-inspiring one with an array of vibrant programme. The students showcased their creativity and talents in various fields from music, dance and theatre. It was an exciting and informative day for everyone. It provided a platform for the students to develop their latent talents, helping them chase their dreams and evolving themselves as socially conscious and responsible citizens of our country.

Indraprastha GLOBAL SCHOOL celebrated the 72ndAnniversary of Indian Independence with great patriotic fervour, zeal and zest. The function began with the unfurling of the National Flag by the Chairman Dr. Rajesh Hassija, the honourable chief guest Major Dalbir Singh and revered Principal Ms. Poonam Arora followed by the National Anthem. The school choir Symphony presented patriotic renditions which charged up the atmosphere with patriotic spirit. The students staged a vibrant dance performance showing their dedication to the country. The senior school students presented a mime that reminded the people those who have immensely contributed to the safety and development of the country.
This is a day of reminding ourselves that thousands of people laid down their lives for freedom so that we live free. It’s our duty to keep our country’s flag flutter high with pride and glory.
Inter-School Competition - UTSAV
John Wooden once said, “The best competition I have is against myself to become better.” And that, we, at Indraprastha GLOBAL SCHOOL, Noida , believe should be everyone’s idea of any competition in order to be able to explore oneself, and one’s limits, to excel in life.
It was indeed a moment of great pride and immense joy for IPGS when the school organised and hosted the Inter-School Competition titled, ‘UTSAV 2018’, in all its grandeur, with great zeal and enthusiasm.
The programme began with the traditional lamp lighting ceremony by the Principal, the Chief Guest Mr Yash Chawla and all the judges present. This was followed by the formal welcome by the Principal where she said that such inter-school competitions play a major role in motivating students to showcase their skills, to excel, to gain substantial experience, and most importantly, to explore oneself. She ended her speech by wishing luck to all the dear participants. Following the speech was a melodious group song, sung by the choir group and a scintillating dance performance depicting the five elements of earth.
A series of events were planned for the day, which comprised ‘Parivesh’, which was about displaying costumes made from eco-friendly, or waste material, through a ramp walk; ‘Fantasica’, a fairy tale story telling competition in a contemporary setting; ‘Tell a Tale’; ‘Pat The Pattern’ which was about preparing a Tessellation, using regular polygon; ‘Quantum Loop’; ‘Shakespearean Soliloquy’; a ‘Nukkad Natak’ on Women Empowerment; ‘The Twinning Act’ - an Ad Mad to advertise products to attract consumers; and last, but not the least, was a poster making competition in Photoshop, titled ‘One India’. The programme ended with the Prize Distribution Ceremony, where amidst a lot of cheer, the Rolling Trophy was awarded to Khaitan Public School by Ms Anupama, an esteemed member of the managing committee and Dr Bhushan. The day was a great learning experience for all the participants. All in all, the programme was a great success.

That’s how teachers are –a friend, facilitator, philosopher and guide. In order to express their thankfulness to the teachers who inspire them in every way, the students of Indraprastha GLOBAL SCHOOL celebrated Teacher’s Day with great pomp and gaiety. It was a memorable day for teachers as well as students, to celebrate this day which marks the birth of the greatest teacher Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishan.
The day started with a special assembly by the students. The students of different classes put up a spectacular show on the occasion. The programme consisted of foot tapping songs, groovy dances and fun- filled games with teachers. A speech on importance of Teachers Day was also delivered. The highlight of the programme was the rendition of Hindi Varn Mala by the revered Principal Mrs Poonam Arora. The students made great efforts and ensured that their teachers enjoyed every minute in the school. The programme concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by a student representative, marking the importance of teachers in their lives. The school management hosted a scrumptious feast at Radisson Blu, Greater Noida to felicitate teachers on this special occasion. After this fun filled day, all the teachers had this thought resonating in their minds- “One book, one pen, one child and one teacher can change the world.”
