Visit to Apna Ghar

With a view of inculcating moral values in the minds of the students and making them socially aware about the difficulties and hardships of the society, the students of Indraprastha GLOBAL SCHOOL were taken to Apna Ghar, a Social Welfare Society working for the underprivileged children for donation drive. As part of its social outreach commitment, the students donated their books, stationaries, toys, clothes etc. to the children who are deprived of a comfortable life. These socially aware minds tend to empathize towards the children regardless of race, gender, ethnicity, disability and class, and consequently contribute towards building a healthy society. The students enjoyed the day very well with the children in the organisation sharing their experiences as students, exchanging ideas on various aspects of the society and playing different games. This drive not only inculcated the value of sharing and caring among the students but it has also aroused the awareness among them to understand the importance of education to eradicate poverty from our society. This initiative by the school is not a day’s project but it is the start of a journey towards contributing for the well-being of the society.

This was in sync with the school’s philosophy to save energy for a better future.  The members of the Eco-Club put up a spirited street performance to spread awareness among the people regarding energy conservation. They were also engaged in a Sapling Plantation activity in the vicinity of the school to spread greenery and make the world a more beautiful place to live in. These activities by the young enthusiasts of Eco- Club will definitely go a long way to generate awareness about the vital need to conserve energy and use it judiciously.
