We are pleased to share that Indraprastha Global School has been awarded the International School Award by British Council.
The accreditation scheme is a reward for the notable global element that promotes International Awareness throughout the school, the wider school community and the local  community. SWACHCHA BHARAT

Indraprastha  Global School has has been awarded first rank in the Swachhata Ranking Competition held on various parameters of sanitation and waste management in the city of Noida in the category of Swachh School.
 

FIT INDIA

"A Sound mind in a Sound body”
In an attempt to promote fitness among school children, the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) observes Fitness Week in the month of December and January as a part of Fit India Movement. The prime objective of the initiative is to bring about a behavioral change in school children from spending “Passive Screen Time” to “Active Field Time”.

Day 1:
Students of Class X and XI were assembled in the Basketball field and were briefed about the importance of exercises for maintaining good health and how it builds immunity to protect us from various diseases.
After a brief warming up session the students were taught a few free hand exercises to strengthen large and small muscles of our body. Children were told how movements like jumping, squatting, bending, swinging etc. help to increase strength, fitness and flexibility of our body.
They were advised to follow these set of exercises daily to achieve a fit and healthy body.


Day 2:
The students of primary classes participated in a ‘Yoga’ Presentation on Day 2 of the Fit India Movement at IPGS. Our little YOGIS performed various asanas like Surya-Namsakaar, Sukhasana, Vajarasna, Tadasana, etc. The benefits of the postures were narrated by the teacher side by side as children performed with the instructions All the Yoga techniques learnt by them would help them concentrate well in studies as well as in all day to day activities.

Day 3:
The students of class VI and VII made colorful posters on the theme: "New India, Fit India" and "Hum Fit Toh India Fit". The posters were shared online to motivate and inspire everyone to adopt a healthy lifestyle.

Day 4:
The students of class XI expressed their views on the topic 'Fitness beats the Pandemic' through creative writing. They shared their experience of utilizing the lockdown to stay fit and healthy, while highlighting how the pandemic has resulted in an increased awareness about healthy lifestyle practices amongst the general public.

Day 5:
"Fitness for you Fitness for me
Let’s make India fit and fine"
To emphasize on "The Fit India Movement", an Online Sports Quiz Contest based on fitness activities was organized with the motive is to make Indians follow a healthy lifestyle and understand the meaning of  Fitness. The students participated enthusiastically in the quiz, sharing and gaining knowledge about the best ways to keep healthy and fit.

Day 6:
'Physical fitness is not only one of the most important keys to a healthy body, it is the basis of dynamic and creative intellectual activity.'
 Keeping this quote in mind, the students of classes VI -VIII performed various Fitness Activities with their parents. Activities such as Yoga, Zumba, Aerobics, Jogging etc. were performed creatively with the help of various home equipment.

'Innovation in Science Pursuit for Inspired Research' (INSPIRE) scheme is one of the flagship programmes of Department of Science & Technology (DST), Government of India. The INSPIRE Awards - MANAK (Million Minds Augmenting National Aspirations and Knowledge), being executed by DST with National Innovation Foundation – India (NIF), an autonomous body of DST, aims to motivate students in studying in classes 6 to 10. The objective of the scheme is to target one million original ideas/innovations rooted in science and societal applications to foster a culture of creativity and innovative thinking among school children.
