Box Cricket Tournament
"Cricket is not just a game; it's a journey of resilience, teamwork, and the pursuit of excellence."
During the second week of May, Indraprastha Global School, Noida orchestrated a thrilling Inter-House Box Cricket Tournament, igniting the spirit of competition and solidarity among the students. The school's four esteemed houses, Integrity, Fraternity, Nobility, and Unity, fervently competed, showcasing their athletic prowess and team spirit. Under the azure skies and amidst the cheers of enthusiastic spectators, the tournament embodied the essence of sportsmanship and camaraderie. From the outset, each house exhibited remarkable determination, striving for victory while upholding the values of fair play and integrity. Fixtures were meticulously organized, providing an equitable platform for all teams to showcase their cricketing skills.
The tournament commenced with great fervor as Ms. Alka Sharma officiated the toss inauguration, symbolizing the commencement of an enthralling sporting spectacle.The final match between Nobility and Fraternity was a gripping spectacle, filled with nail-biting moments and spectacular displays of athleticism. In a thrilling culmination to the tournament, Nobility emerged triumphant, clinching the coveted first position, followed closely by Fraternity in second place and Unity securing the third spot.Archit Aggarwal from Class XII, displaying remarkable prowess and finesse, was hailed as the Man of the Match, further adding to the jubilant celebrations of Nobility House. With live scoring enhancing the excitement, the tournament not only celebrated sporting excellence but also fostered a spirit of unity and mutual respect among all participants, embodying the true essence of sportsmanship and camaraderie.
Tug Of War
The Tug of War competition held at Indraprastha Global school as a house activity showcased thrilling displays of teamwork and determination. Each house demonstrated exceptional strength and strategy, igniting fierce yet friendly competition. Cheers echoed across the field as participants exerted maximum effort, striving to pull their team to victory.
The event promoted physical fitness and fostered a sense of unity and camaraderie among students. Through sweat and perseverance, bonds were strengthened, and sportsmanship flourished. Ultimately, the Tug of War competition proved to be an exhilarating testament to the spirit of collaboration and sportsmanship within our school community.
SESSION 2023-24
FASHION FROM WASTE ACTIVITY
Indraprastha Global School organised a 'Fashion from Waste', a creative competition based on scrap dresses and creative fashion illustrations. Students of grades X - XII participated with great zeal and valour. The fashion show was a perfect way to promote awareness about sustainability and the importance of recycling among the younger generation. The four houses prepared outfits based on different themes, such as futuristic, nature-inspired, or abstract. They were judged based on various criteria, such as creativity, originality, and eco-friendliness.Overall, a fashion show from Waste was an excellent way to promote sustainability, creativity, and awareness among students, and the wider community. It inspired students to think outside the box and find creative solutions to environmental problems.
INTERHOUSE CHESS COMPETITION
An 'Inter-House Chess Competition' was organized between the students of Classes IX-XII on April 19, 2023.The competition consisted of a series of matches between players, with the winner of each match advancing to the next round.The competition was a great way for students to develop their critical thinking, problem-solving, and strategic skills, while also providing an opportunity for healthy competition.
Earth Day
Those who contemplate the beauty of the earth find reserves of strength that will endure as long as life lasts.
Earth Day is recognised as the largest civic event in the world. This year marks 50 years of EarthDay.Earth Day is celebrated on April 22 every year. The day aims to raise awareness among masses about climate change and global warming. The day inspires to act towards the protection of the environment and focus on the need for conservation. With this aim Inter-House competition for the students of Grade 3-5 was organised on April 20, 2022.
Students of Class 3 participated in Inter-House Earth Day creative Wall Hanging competition. Student made colourful and creative wall hangings.
Students of Class 4 participated in Inter-House Wind Chime making competition. All the students enthusiastically participated in this competition.
Students of grade 5 whole heartily partthe icipated in Inter-House Poster-making competition.The atmosphere rocked with colours of blue and green, the students enthusiastically showcased their awareness about the conservation of natural resources and how to protect and save Earth.The competition was an amazing display of children's imagination and hidden talents.
Design to shine
A poster is a temporary promotion of an idea, product or event put up in public space for mass consumption. They include both textual and graphic elements. Posters are designed to be both eye catching and informative;they can be wholly graphical or only text. Students of classes 6 to 8 participated in a poster-making house competition on 20th April 2022 to celebrate world heritage day . Students of all four houses participated in the competition with immense zeal and enthusiasm, handmade beautiful posters which gave the message of conserving our rich cultural heritage. Students were asked to express their ideas through paintings and sketches.The students thoroughly enjoyed activity.
Paper presentation -Carbon tax, the new stage in our capitalist world
On the occasion of the Earth day Classes 9 to 12 students participated in a paper presentation. Theme was Carbon tax, the new stage in our capitalist world.Global capitalist economy is the root cause for Greenhouse gas emission, leading to rising Global temperatures and sea levels. Carbon tax is a tax levied on the carbon emission required to produce goods and services.Student participated with great zeal and enthusiasm. All the four houses presented their skills through PPT and video which they beautifully presented. Weapon of confidence helped the students to tackle with the interjection round . Through this activity student were able to understand the importance of sustainable development and the harmful effect of Carbon emission in today’s world .They came out with verygood and practical solutions on how to conserve and protect the environment.
