OVERNIGHT CAMPS AND PROGRAMS

Education is not just through books. It is a process of learning through a practical approach with a balanced profile and attitude.

An action-packed overnight adventure camp was organized for the students of Grade I to V at Indraprastha Global School, Noida, on 11th and 12th February 2023, to help develop their collaborative skills and boost their confidence. Lovely innocent faces arrived around noon, filled with expectations and excitement, to indulge in a new experience of night out. After arriving, the students were briefly introduced to the rules of outdoor living and Do’s and Don’ts of a camp . They were further divided in groups of 13 and each group was allocated a respective group name. Once they all settled, the camp guides took them for various exciting activities which included Commando Crawl, Commando Net, Zipline,Twine, Rope Climbing, Tyre Crossing, Double Rope Bridge, Burma Bridge, Tug-of-War, etc. The highlight of the evening was the groovy, foot tapping music played by the DJ. The students danced and swayed to the lively beats till late evening and it was indeed difficult to leave the dance floor and head back to the ground for upcoming activities. Students sat around bonfire and jammed on some popular hit songs and music. Some amazing singers sang and entertained the audience present there. Inching towards the night, the creative streak and histrionic skills of students were a treat to watch as every class presented a talent show in their allotted rooms. Movie and other immersive activities saw all the cherubs participate with cheerful enthusiasm. Laughter and giggles echoed through the corridors of the school as they enjoyed sharing jokes and riddles with their teachers.Twinkling stars, clear skies, cool breeze and classmates for company - the students had the time of their life as they spent a night in the school. The students enjoyed their independence and time away from home as they were kept gainfully engaged throughout. Primary Headmistress, Ms. Vinita Maheshwari, and faculty also stayed the night with the students and made sure that each and every student was provided with utmost comfort and security.Next morning the students were made to get up early and were taken to the ground for warm up exercises, followed by an appetizing and savoury breakfast. Post breakfast session included some organized sport games. Lastly wrapping up our camp, the buzzword became ‘we’ from ‘I’ and the cheering for their groups were a happy display of early social skills. Bonds seem to have been built beyond those with immediate friends in class. Another achievement was a new confidence to manage oneself. Overall, it was an overwhelming experience which brought the student and teacher community much closer.

 

 

 

 

Outdoor Programs- Tree Plantation

The students of Indraprastha GLOBAL SCHOOL believe in protecting and nurturing the environment. To take a positive step towards our environment the students were engaged in a Sapling Plantation activity in the vicinity of the school to spread greenery and make the world a more beautiful place to live in. These activities by the young enthusiasts of Eco- Club will definitely go a long way to generate awareness about the vital need to protect the nature and use it judiciously.
