I often think back to one of the most important learnings I’ve had in my 35 years of teaching, of which 14 have been in leadership roles- that the primary years of a child’s life are the most formative in their educational journey, where their young, keen minds discover knowledge, confidence, curiosity, empathy, and resilience. As an educator, my approach has always emphasized the importance of understanding each child for the unique person they are, and the boundless potential that lays within, waiting to be discovered. The significance of providing the leaders of tomorrow with a space that prioritizes safety, value, encouragement, and genuine love, support, and faith, cannot be overlooked.

As Vice Principal of Primary School, I envision for our students a learning community that goes hand in hand with values, creativity, and holistic well being. I believe that true learning and growth does not happen in a vacuum; but requires active collaboration between teachers, students, and parents, all to build a stellar foundation for those who will usher in and pioneer the future.

Education, I believe, goes far beyond assessments and theory. Our children must also be shaped into thoughtful, compassionate, responsible, ethical, and confident human beings, who uphold their values, care for their fellow beings, and have a strong intrinsic desire to do good; with integrity and discipline.

It is my aim, as Vice Principal, to help create an environment where every child feels inspired to learn, grow, and flourish into the remarkable and bright rays of light they are, where not even the sky is the limit.
